LOC 2002

Castilleja Labs Win Ribbons at
the Labrador Owners Club Specialty

The LOC Specialty Show and Obedience Trials were held at the Holiday Inn, Cambridge, Ontario on June 1 and 2, 2002. This is the largest all Labrador Retriever Show in Canada, this year with 275 entered in the conformation show and 41 in Obedience. The conformation classes were judged by Ms. Lynda Heron - "Brigburn", Hope farm, Morpeth, Northumberland England. Sweepstakes were judged by Ross Brennan - "Labradale", Ormstown, Quebec.
We were pleased to come home with 3 ribbons in a show where many of the best Labs in Eastern North America were entered. "Best In Show" was won by CH Chablais Mai, owned by Jean-Louis Blais and Madeline Charest from St. Gilles, Quebec.

Castilleja's Sir Ruddles

First in Bred By Exhibitor Class

The Judges Critique

Chocolate of good size and substance, nicely balanced, good forechest due to his correct front angulation, good shape and length of rib. Legs nice and straight with just the right amount of spring in his pasterns. Well constructed rear.

Castilleja's Jackson Squire

Second in 12-18 Month Dog Class
and Third in Sweepstakes Open Dog

The Judges Critique

Yellow not quite the balance of the winner, his head was broader and shorter, it remained typical and had good pigmentation
